July 1

The bus will bring you in Sirmione fot the first stop of this two-days journey. Enjoy the wonderful view from the Scaliger Castle over the little town and the wonderful Lake Garda, and walk through the narrow streets until reaching the beautiful Church of St. Pietro in Mavino and then the fascinating archeological area of the Grotte di Catullo, where the Roman poet Catullo had a magnificent villa on the head of the Sirmione’s peninsula.

Lunch on the lake and then the bus will bring you in Illasi, in the Veneto region, to visit Villa Sagramoso Perez-Pompei, a typical venetian villa on the hills that surround the town of Verona. Here, after a visit of the property with its beautiful frescoed interiors and its luxuriant parks, you will be involved in an open air watercolor session.

July 2

The bus will bring you in the beautiful Verona, the town of Romeo and Juliet. Stroll in the centre, admiring the Roman Arena and Juliet’s House, and pass through Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori to see Dante’s statue. Admire the frescoed church of St. Anastasia and the ancient St. Zeno, before lunch in this wonderful city.

In the afternoon, before returning in Milan, the bus will bring you at Villa Serego Alighieri, in the village of Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella in the historical Valpolicella region, near Verona. Visit this marvelous villa belonging to Dante’s direct descendants, surrounded by hills covered with vineyards.
