Faenza, worldwide known for its wonderful ceramic. Rimini, with its rich Roman and Renaissance past and artists such as Leon Battista Alberti and Piero della Francesca that worked at Sidismondo Pandolfo Malatesta court. Ravenna and its marvelous mosaics. Ferrara, the “first modern city in Europe”, built by architect Biagio Rossetti, with the magnificent Romanesque Duomo, the Este Castle and the Renaissance area, the “first modern city in Europe”.
Wednesday, June 29
Tour departure from Milan. Arrival in Faenza. Visit to the Cathedral, the Palazzo Comunale, the Teatro Comunale, made by Giuseppe Pistocchi and where the neoclassic season in Faenza has its opening, and to the adjacent gallery of the Cento Pacifici, decorated by Serafino Barozzi with the cooperation of the young Felice Giani. Visits to Palazzo Milzetti, milestone of the neoclassic culture in Faenza, and the International Museum of Ceramic, that hosts the biggest collection of ceramic in the world, will follow, as well as a visit to S. Leo and the fifteenth-century fortification, work of Francesco di Giorgio Martini, and the historic center, with the Romanesque cathedral (Duomo) and the pre-Romanesque church. At the end of the visits, the group will be transferred to Rimini, where it will be accommodated in the 4* Hotel Aqua o similar hotel. Dinner and overnight included.
Thursday, June 30
Breakfast included, at the hotel. Entire day in Rimini, visiting Castel Sismondo, S.Agostino church, Augustus’ arch, Roman amphitheatre, temple Malatestiano, Museum of the City and the Domus of the surgeon. Dinner and overnight included.
Friday, July 1
Breakfast included, at the hotel. Entire day excursion in Ravenna. Visits to: Teodorico’s mausoleum, Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, San Vitale, Galla Placidia mausoleum, Ariani baptistery, Dante’s tomb, Piazza del Popolo, Palazzo Comunale, Nenoniano baptistery and Sant’Apollinare in Classe. Return to Rimini. Dinner and overnight included.

Saturday, July 2
Breakfast included, at the hotel. Entire day excursion in Ferrara. Visits to: Cathedral and its museum, Palazzo Comunale, Casa Romei, Palazzo Schifanoia, Palazzo Ludovico il Moro, Este Castle and Palazzo dei Diamanti. Return to Milan in the afternoon.
