The building, a former Jesuit Convent (traces of their chapel are still visible on the facade), was purchased by Count Tommaso Saffi, Aurelio\u2019s grandfather, as summer residence in the second half of the XVII century. The link between the location and the figure of Aurelio Saffi (1819 \u2013 1890) is inseparable, he was a Ministry of the Interior first, then Triumvir of the Roman Republic, one of the funding fathers of the Republican movement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Here the poet spent eleven vacations, since 1897 until 1906, during which he enjoyed the still of the park, the mild climate, the sound of music and the Countess\u2019s talking, a witty woman with a broad knowledge, becoming attached to the location so much that he decided to spend the rest of his life in the calmness of this place. It is right there that he was inspired to compose the famous Ode to the Polenta\u2019s Church.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Marino Moretti\u2019s native house (1885-1979), today a house museum, is located on the shore of the Cesenatico\u2019s canal harbour and it has the typical structure, protracted on the courtyard, that characterises the sailors\u2019 houses of the Adriatic cost.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Red House, so called because of the colour of its plaster, was built in 1906 when Aldredo Panzini (1863-1939) decided to build a villa in Bellaria, where he had been on holiday with his family for years, hosted by peasants and fishermen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Visit of Pascoli\u2019s House in San Mauro Pascoli.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The native house of Giovanni Pascoli, national monument since 1924 and property of the State, it\u2019s the place that has deeply influenced the early years of the poet, who lived in this house until he was seven years old, still visiting it during his teenage years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
