The Italian National Committee of ICOM is the leading professional association of the museum sector in Italy.

It takes care of all the problems closely related to the development and the defense of the profession.

ICOM Italy promotes and also coordinates the activities of the Permanent Conference for the Italian Museum Associations.

ICOM Italy is present on the national territory thanks to the efforts of the Regional Coordinators, the continuous research of thematic committees studying and regulating the organisation of some of the most important events in the industry, such as the National Conference of Museums of Italy, the ICOM Italy Award for the Museum of the year, the National Assembly of ICOM and the International Museum Day.
