A city that is just waiting to be discovered in all of its many aspects: filled with historic evidence, acclaimed museums, works of contemporary art en plein air, cultural events, with its characteristic arcades, renowned historical meeting places, spacious parks and magic places.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The arrival of the group from Milan is scheduled at 9.30 to the <b>Castello di Rivoli\u00a0Museum of Contemporary Art <\/b>whose construction begun in the 11th century as a military stronghold; owned by the Savoy since 1247, the castle was the first court of the Duchy of Savoy, transformed into courtly residence in the 1600s, with the addition of the &#8220;<i>Manica Lunga<\/i>&#8221; -the art gallery of the Dukes- more than 140 metres long. The Castle of Rivoli is now home to the Museum of Contemporary Art that has a prestigious permanent collection and occasional major exhibitions in an original historical and architectural context. After a welcome coffee, the group is led to a visit of the Museum.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/icom-milano-2016.mini.icom.museum\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/47\/2019\/01\/RTEmagicC_Castello_di_Rivoli_c_Citta_di_Torino.jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\"><br \/><i>Castello di Rivoli\u00a9Citt\u00e0 di Torino<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Afterwards, the group moves to the city centre where the visit of the <b>National Museum of Cinema <\/b>is scheduled. It is host in the Mole Antonelliana, the architectural symbol of Torino, begun in 1863 by Alessandro Antonelli and initially meant to be a synagogue.
