CALL FOR PAPERS FOR THE NOVEMBER MEETING IN BRESCIA ON “MUSEUMS AND CULTURAL LANDSCAPES”
According to the Agreement signed with the City of Brescia, on Saturday, November 28th 2015 an international meeting will be organised in Brescia in cooperation with Fondazione Brescia Musei, directed by Luigi Di Corato. The Presidents of International Committees are invited to the meeting and to present papers on the ICOM 2016 theme and museums’ best experiences. The results of the debate will be the basis of the “ICOM Declaration on Museums and Cultural Landscapes”. The most interesting experiences that are presented in the Conference will be part of the innovative museum projects that we are planning to present in Milan as international museums’ best practices. Another call for papers to appear in a future issue of Museum International dedicated to “Museums and Cultural Landscapes” will open at the end of July 2015; Museum International is the new ICOM’s academic journal.
Following the meeting in Brescia, the International Committees representatives and the Italian contact persons of the ICs will meet in Milano on Sunday, in order to define the finishing touches and updates of the ICs’ plans and needs for the Conference.
